Google Tag Manager

Google Tag Manager is a solution with which we manage so-called tags via an interface and thus integrate, for example, Google Analytics and other Google marketing services into our online offering. The Tag Manager itself does not process any personal user data. With regard to the processing of users' personal data, please refer to the following information on Google services. Terms of use: https://www.google.com/intl/de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Cookies are used for this purpose. The information generated by the cookie about the user's use of the website is generally transmitted to Google and stored on servers in the United States.

The IP addresses transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics are not merged with other data from Google. We have also added the code "anonymizeIP" to Google Analytics on this website. This guarantees the masking of your IP address so that all data is collected anonymously. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.

Google will use the transmitted data on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating the use of our online services by users, compiling reports on the activities of this online service and providing us with other services relating to the use of this online service and the internet. Pseudonymized user profiles can be created from the processed data.

Users may prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on their browser software; users may also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and the use of the online offer by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If we ask users for their consent (e.g. in the context of a cookie consent), the legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(6) 1 lit. a. GDPR. Otherwise, the user's personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 § 6 1 lit. f. of the German Data Protection Act.) GDPR).

Insofar as data is processed in the USA, we would like to point out that Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus ensures compliance with European data protection law. For more information, please see the following link: https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000000001L5AAI&status=Aktiv

For more information on Google's data use, settings and opt-out options, please see Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's advertising display settings (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

Users' personal data will be deleted or anonymized after 14 months

Google Universal Analytics

We use Google Analytics in the form of "Universal Analytics". "Universal Analytics" refers to a Google Analytics method in which user analytics are performed based on a pseudonymous user ID, thus creating a pseudonymous profile of the user with information from the use of different devices (so-called "cross-device tracking").

Targeting with Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to display ads from Google and its partners within our advertising services only to users who have shown interest in our online offers or who have certain characteristics (e.g. interests in certain topics or products determined based on the websites visited) that we transmit to Google (so-called "remarketing" or "Google Analytics audience"). We also use remarketing audiences to ensure that our ads match users' potential interest.

Google AdWords and conversion measurements

Using Google's online marketing method "AdWords", now known as Google Ads, we place ads on the Google advertising network (e.g. in search results, videos, websites, etc.) so that they are displayed to users who have a presumed interest in the ads. This allows us to target ads for and within our online offering to present users only with ads that match their interests. If, for example, a user is shown ads for products in which he or she is interested in other online offers, this is referred to as "remarketing". For these purposes, when our website and other websites on which the Google advertising network is active are called up, a Google code is executed directly by Google and so-called (re)marketing tags (invisible graphics or code, also called "web beacons") are integrated into the website. With their help, an individual cookie, i.e. a small file, is stored on the user's device (comparable technologies can also be used instead of cookies). This file records which websites the user visits, which content the user is interested in and which offers the user has clicked on, as well as technical information about the browser and operating system, referring websites, visiting times and other information about the use of the online service.

In addition, we receive an individual "conversion cookie". The information obtained using the cookie is used by Google to generate conversion statistics for us. However, we only know the anonymous total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, we do not receive any personally identifiable information.

User information is processed pseudonymously within the Google Advertising Network. This means, for example, that Google does not store and process the user's name or email address, but processes the corresponding data cookies within pseudonymous user profiles. This means that from Google's point of view, the ads are not managed and displayed for a specific person, but for the cookie holder, regardless of who this cookie holder is. This does not apply if a user has explicitly allowed Google to process the data without this pseudonymization. The information collected about users is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers in the United States.

If we ask users for their consent (e.g. in the context of a cookie consent), the legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1) lit. a. GDPR. Otherwise, the user's personal data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interests (i.e. interest in the analysis, optimization and economic operation of our online offering within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) lit. f. GDPR).

Insofar as data is processed in the USA, we point out that Google is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thus ensures compliance with European data protection law. (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000000001L5AAI&status=Active).

For more information on Google's data use, settings and opt-out options, please see Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads) und in den Einstellungen zur Darstellung von Werbung durch Google (https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated).

External Payment Providers

We use external payment service providers through whose platforms users and we can make payment transactions. Examples of these include the following: Paypal (https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full), Klarna (https://www.klarna.com/de/datenschutz/), Skrill (https://www.skrill.com/de/fusszeile/datenschutzrichtlinie/), Giropay (https://www.giropay.de/rechtliches/datenschutz-agb/), Visa (https://www.visa.de/datenschutz), Mastercard (https://www.mastercard.de/de-de/datenschutz.html), American Express (https://www.americanexpress.com/de/content/privacy-policy-statement.html)

In the context of the performance of contracts, we use the payment service providers on the basis of Art. 6 §1 lit. b. GDPR. Furthermore, we use external payment service providers on the basis of our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 §1 lit. f. GDPR in order to provide our users with effective and secure payment options.

The data processed by the payment service providers include inventory data, such as the name and address, bank data, such as account numbers or credit card numbers, passwords, TANs and checksums, as well as the contract, totals and recipient-related information. The information is required to carry out the transactions. However, the data entered is only processed by the payment service providers and stored with them. I.e. we do not receive any account or credit card related information, but only information with confirmation or negative information of the payment. Under certain circumstances, the payment service providers transmit the data to credit agencies. The purpose of this transmission is to check identity and creditworthiness. In this regard, we refer to the terms and conditions and privacy notices of the payment service providers.

As an external payment service provider we use the product of CopeCart GmbH, Ufnaustraße 10, 10553 Berlin. The data entered on our pages before forwarding to the CopeCart platform, which is required to fulfill the contract, is transmitted to the CopeCart website as URL parameters. This is for faster and more convenient payment processing. No cookies are used in this step. More information about privacy at CopeCart: https://www.copecart.com/datenschutz/.

For payment transactions, the terms and conditions and privacy notices of the respective payment service providers apply, which can be accessed within the respective websites, or transaction applications. We refer to these likewise for the purpose of further information and assertion of revocation, information and other data subject rights.

Leadfeeder

We use LeadFeeder as a lead generation tool. In the evaluation, LeadFeeder accesses the list of IP addresses of website visitors provided by Google Analytics and links the list of IP addresses with information about the companies that can be found on the Internet under these IP addresses. Due to the shortening of the IP address of the website visitors, which is already carried out when using Google Analytics, no direct personal reference is made. Only company visitors can be assumed. Leadfeeder is integrated into our CRM system. LeadFeeder is a service provided by Liidio Oy, Mikonkatu 17 C, Helsinki 00100, Finland.
